Our most popular membership type.Available to individuals currently employed, self-employed, or supplying to the catering, event or hospitality industries. Professors and teachers of accredited, college-level courses relating to the catering, special events, and hospitality industries may also join. Professional members may vote in chapter and NACE national elections, hold any office in which they meet the required criteria and serve on committees. Professional members will be assigned to a chapter in their geographic area or, if no chapter exists in their location, the member will be considered a member at-large.

Corporate

Corporate membership is available to employees of businesses who maintain a minimum of four professional memberships.

Legacy

Non-profit

Full-time employees of non-profit 501(c)3, (c)4, (c)5 and (c)6 organizations. Proof of non-profit status is required with application. Note: 501(c)7 NOT eligible

Student

Student Membership is limited to those individuals enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in a post-secondary educational program who intend to begin a career in the catering and events industry, and who have paid any fees or due required for this membership.  Student Members must provide proof of full-time or part-time enrollment.**

Young Professional

This membership is available to individuals 18- 26 years of age and under who are employed or self-employed in or who supply the catering, event, or hospitality industries. Please note – you must upload a copy of your ID upon joining.

* Professional membership is our default membership type. All other types are discounted based on the criteria listed in each description. 

Replacement Membership:

While NACE membership belongs to whomever pays the membership dues, if a membership is paid by a company, the company may choose to transfer the membership from one employee to another. The employee who is replaced is considered to be a prospective member and the new member will take over the membership, including the paid through date. There must be at least 90 days remaining on the original membership to qualify for the transfer. An administrative fee of $50 is required. Applies to professional memberships only.  Contact membership@nace.net to inquire about a replacement membership.

Transitional Membership:
Transitional members will retain membership benefits up to 90 days after a company request to transfer benefits, compliments of NACE. Membership must be renewed within the 90 day grace period in order to maintain membership without having to reapply. There must be at least 90 days remaining on the original membership to qualify for transfer. An administrative fee of $50 administrative is required. Applies to professional memberships only.

 Policies

  • All NACE memberships are individual and held specifically in the name of the member.
  • Memberships are inclusive of a national membership and one local chapter membership.
  • Additional local chapter membership is available at $50 each.
  • If no chapter exists near the member, the member will be considered "At-large."
  • Memberships are non-refundable.
  • Student members may serve on committees, but they may not vote, hold office or serve on the Board of Directors.
