NACE offers a variety of membership types to help fit your needs and level of experience.










Our most popular membership type. For individuals who are employed in the catering, event, or hospitality industries. 





Employees of businesses who maintain three or more memberships at the corporate rate of $275 each. This membership category is made available to businesses with four or more people at the same company and same location or same accounting home. The company must maintain at least four members at all times. 





Current members who are at least 60 years old and who have maintained membership for at least 15 consecutive years. Please email to confirm eligibility.





Full-time employees of non-profit 501(c)3, (c)4, (c)5 and (c)6 organizations. Proof of non-profit status is required with application. Note: 501(c)7 NOT eligible





Employees of NACE partner companies.





Student Membership is limited to those individuals enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in a post-secondary educational program who intend to begin a career in the catering and events industry, and who have paid any fees or due required for this membership.  Student Members must provide proof of full-time or part-time enrollment.**

Young Professional




Individuals under 30 years of age who are employed in the catering, event, or hospitality industries. Copy of photo ID required.

* Professional membership is our default membership type. All other types are discounted based on the criteria listed in each description. 

** Student members may serve on committees, but they may not vote, hold office, or serve on the Board of Directors. This membership rate is available for no more than five (5) years in an undergraduate academic program and no more than three (3) in a graduate program, as long as the member provides annual proof of the full-time enrollment qualification

Replacement Membership:
NACE membership belongs to whomever pays the membership dues. If a membership is paid by a company, the company may choose to transfer the membership from one employee to another. The employee who is replaced is considered to be a transitional member (details below) and the new member will take over the membership, including the paid through date.  There is a $50 fee to complete this change in membership.   To request a replacement, please fill out the Membership Replacement Form.

Transitional Membership:
Transitional members will retain membership benefits up to 90 days after a company request to transfer benefits, compliments of NACE. Membership must be renewed within the 90 day grace period in order to maintain membership without having to reapply. There must be at least 90 days remaining on the original membership to qualify for transfer. An administrative fee of $50 administrative is required. Applies to professional memberships only.

  • All NACE memberships are individual and held specifically in the name of the member.
  • Memberships are inclusive of a national membership and one local chapter membership.
  • Additional local chapter membership is available at $50 each.
  • If no chapter exists near the member, the member will be considered "At-large."
  • Memberships are non-refundable.
